We Believe

There is one God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19, 2Cor 13:14);

  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God; we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession and in His imminent return (1 Tim 3:16, Acts 2:31-33, 1 Cor 15:1-4,1 Thess 4:3-18);

  • The Bible is the living word of God - infallible, authoritative and everlasting, and the foundation of all Christian doctrine (2 Tim 3:16, 1 Peter 1:23);

  • In the person and work of the Holy Spirit - with His fruit as the expression of Christian character in believers (Gal 5:22); and gifts available in the Church for the equipping of ministry and the edification of the church (1 Cor 12:7-11);

  • In the existence of an evil spiritual being - the devil (Jn 8:44, 1Jn 3:8, Rev 20:10);

  • In the spiritually lost condition of all people and the essential need for salvation – by repentance, faith in and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord producing a moral and upright life (Eph 1:7, Eph 2:8-9, 1 John 1:9);

  • In Divine healing—secured for every believer through the atonement of Christ; and deliverance from all bondage to the power of Satan (Matt 8:16-17, Col 1:13);

  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift available to believers, with the normal evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 1:8, Eph 5:18);

  • In the ordinances of baptism by full immersion in water for all believers; and the Lord's Supper, celebrated regularly in remembrance of Christ (Acts 2:38, 1 Cor 11:23-26);

  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting separation from God;

  • In the church universal - the body of Christ, comprising all born again believers of all nations under the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ and each member being an active part of a local church, fulfilling the Great Commission ( Matt 16:18, Rev 7:9-10);

  • In Bible prophecy—its fulfillment in world events, heralding the climax of this age and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rev 11:15, Rev 19:11-16).
